Ashley Parfitt does the club proud.

Beaufort v Brynithel fixtures always produce sparks; this one was no exception.  There was little score in the first twenty; it seemed both sides were just testing the other.  It was Brynithel who drew first blood, a well taken penalty by Ashley Parfitt to give them a 3-0 lead after 15 minutes.  The lead lasted 9min, when Beaufort took a ball against the head, and Beaufort went over for a very nice try. Beaufort's lead was increased almost immediately when the Beaufort centre intercepted a pass and went in under the post. Beaufort now 12-3 up and looking good for their lead.  Brynithel then close the gap with another Ashley Parfitt penalty. 12-6 to Beaufort.  On the half hour Rhys James spots a gap and scores a nice try unopposed, try converted by the usual suspect. Brynithel take the lead 13-12.  Having taken the lead, again Brynithel give away another try, again through sloppy passing; is there no end to Brynithel's charity work? Beaufort take the lead 13-17.  Just before half time Brynithel respond again in this ding-dong battle.  Ashley Parfitt with a well taken try. 20-17 the half time score.

There is little scoring in the third quarter, Beaufort kick a penalty to close the gap.  20-All.  It remained at a stalement for a long time, until an incident on 70min, some heavy tackling on Beaufort takes place to Beaufort's displeasure.  An incident occurs reducing Brynithel to 14 men.  Whatever happened? - it fires up Brynithel and they start to play like a team possessed.  Ashley Parfitt again on the score sheet - takes on the Beaufort defence and scores a fine try; his second of the game, and converted by the very same. Almost immediately Brynithel score again; this time through their prop  - Carwyn Perry; his mobility and eagerness gets him into a great position, and recycled ball find its way to him; his strength sees him over the line.  A bonus point try for the Mighty Bryn.  Its now 20-32, and Brynithel are certainly on top.  Ashley Parfitt rounds the day off with another fine penalty.  This may have been a frustrating game to watch, but Brynithel never stopped working.  It was a fine display by Brynithel's centre Ashley Parfitt who contributed 25points to the Brynithel scoreline.  Final score Beaufort RFC 20:35 Brynithel RFC
